4K a year Waldorf University, located in Forest City Iowa, is seeking a part-time, approximately 20hrs/wk, position for Human Resources/Payroll Assistant.
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager as part of the Business Affairs team, this position will be tasked to primarily support payroll functions and assist in the Human Resources department with recruitment, filing, reconciliation, and reporting.
In addition the position will have some cross over support in Business Affairs or the Business Office.
Qualifications:

Minimum of an earned Associate degree in business-related area and at least 2 years in business/office experience required.
Experience with payroll processing and regulatory knowledge preferred.
Ideal candidate will have:
Strong attention to detail, appreciation and understanding of proper internal controls.
Value and respect processing data and protecting the integrity of information.
Familiarity with audit processes and accounting background helpful.
Understanding of office network environment and proper security procedures required.
Office equipment including computers, telephones, printers, scanners, faxes, and copiers.
Software use includes Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook).
Experience with HRIS and/or business accounting systems preferred.
Benefits:
This is a half-time, non-exempt, 12 month position.
For this role Waldorf offers part-time leave benefits, eligibility for retirement plan match and paid holidays based on schedule.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
